TOOLS REQUERED:
- Scissors
- Knife or razor blade
- Cloth tape measure
- Hair dryer or heat gun
- Masking tape
WORK AREA:
Work in a dust-free area. To prevent scratching body panels during in installation, avoid wearing clothes with buttons or exposed belt buckles.
WASH YOUR HANDS
Remove waxes, dirt, oil, bugs before application. This is a 3 layer product. The top transparent foil keeps stickers for easy installation. The backing paper protects the sticker glue side until ready to install.
START:
Peel away backing paper and determine location for application. With one hand place one side of the sticker on motor fairing. The other hand holds the other side of the sticker slightly up and provides tension to prevent wrinkles or air bubbles.
Using back-and-forth motion thumbs or finger press tape onto motor fairing while moving forward. The tension hand is responsible for keeping the graphic away from motor fairing. Sticker should only contact motor fairing as your finger contact it.
WARNING: Trying to contact a big area in one sweep is a recipe for trapping air bubbles.
Remove top transparent foil. While applying slight tension, heat sticker with hairdryer (try 5 second at 1 inch away) or heat gun (try 2 second at 1 inch away).
WARNING: TOO MUCH HEAT AND TENSION AT THE SAME TIME WILL DISTORT THE TAPE AND CAUSE DAMAGES ON STICKER.
